My family had a great time. The plaque is unexpected and I appreciate it very much. We enjoyed the private boat tour so much that I made great friends with Mike and his son-in-law. We were not expecting a private “one-on-one” family tour. We thought we would be riding a ferry boat. We were only after the boat tour and meeting other military families and veterans. The feast was a huge bonus! My wife also enjoyed talking to Mike. She learned about the nonprofit Mike founded that helps kids with cancer. My wife is passionate about these things. In fact she introduced our daughter by donating her hair to kids with cancer. Our daughter realized she is not too young to help others and she learned that there are other ways to help than donating money. It’s hard to find people with common interest. This event has been an instrument. On behalf of my family, thank you and those involved in organizing this event. I can’t think of anything that can make this event better. It is great as it is. You’re doing an awesome job!

Thank you so much for having us at the Day on the Bay! We had such a wonderful time. We brought our two kids (Charlotte, 9 and Matthew, 6). My husband is a disabled ARMY vet (amputee below the knee). We really enjoyed meeting new people and having our family experience together on the water. The food was amazing and the kids loved the firetrucks and the UPS trucks. The toys were a great addition for them as well. All the timing was wonderful and we had plenty of time to be with our family before and after the boat ride. We were assigned the most amazing captain and his first mate (wife). We enjoyed their company and their knowledge of the area. It was like our own private tour.

Me and my wife thoroughly enjoyed day on the bay. We loved everything that was done and provided for us. I was very honored to be recognized for my service. Please continue to honor those of us who served as sometimes we feel forgotten.

This was the event of a lifetime! These people are true patriots and I felt like I was surrounded by family. The food was spectacular and the volunteers made my heart soften. I just finished chemo for Incurable cancer I got in Iraq and this event truly made me thankful I am part of the Wounded Warrior Project. I feel blessed to be part of this organization and and truly thankful to be included in this event. I cannot thank you enough I will never forget what you have done for me and Helen. A great day on the Bay to be sure thank you so much

I really enjoyed the Day on the Bay. It went beyond my expectations. The bag with the gifts, especially the gift cards, were wonderful. I can’t say enough good about the entire day.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for providing “A Day on the Bay”. It truly was an amazing event from the beginning to the end. I felt great appreciation and a welcoming atmosphere when I saw flags of the different branches of service.
I met some friends ruing the event which I did not previously known; a veteran working in the same agency where I work and another who was in Balad, Iraq the same time I was there. There was so much laughter and everyone’s spirit were high.
Most of all, it was an opportunity to introduce the WWP and American military to my friends who were in the US for 6 weeks on summer TDY at Georgetown University from South Kore. They returned to Korea with lifetime pleasurable memories and their little daughter has many fun stories to tell her teacher and classmates in Korea.
I have heard crab feast in Maryland but have never participated until “the day on the Bay”. It was simply awesome!
Please note, I am a critical care nurse (served 27 years in the AF, critical care nurse), and would like to volunteer if needed a first aid or/and nursing coverage.
Thank you again for the wonderful opportunity, and truly appreciated.
